catching up

It has been a long time since updating everyone on things this way.  We have been pretty busy so far in 2012, with Andrew's 4th birthday and Dustin was promoted to Manager so we relocated.

During February we got to spend time with our niece while her parents were on a trip together so we headed to the beach one day to get grandkid pictures for the mother in law to have.   After I took photos, I had to book it back to Lemoore and make Andrew's Birthday cake. (he decided he wanted lightening mcqueen).  This was the first Andrew was able to have his cousin Nicole, Uncle Jake, and Aunt Maggie attend being they live so far away.

In March Dustin was told he had the store in Lompoc, CA and so we spent about 1 1/2 weeks apart as I packed and cleaned the old apartment and he had to start work ASAP.  We are extremely proud of him and are blessed to have him in our lives.  At the end of March we actually moved over to a cute little condo in Lompoc, so now our dog and son have a yard to play in, which both of them love!

Once we moved we had a lot happening with electrical issues, medical insurance and just unpacking with lack of motivation.  I have been partially in lazy pregnant mode so when I get energy to do stuff I get a lot accomplished, yet with a 4 yr old it seems like no progress is being made.  We are hoping to welcome our new baby on June 1st so hopefully when we see the new OB soon he will be able to tell us if thats even a possible date based on how I am progressing.

disneyland

As most people know, we took Andrew to Disneyland for the first time. Andrew was officially 40 inches so he was allowed to go on so many rides: tower of terror, space mountain, thunder mountain, splace mountain and soaring over california! He was such a good sport about all the scary rides, he rode each one a few times, but really wasn't a fan of some afterwards. Andrew did not cry though so I was so proud of him. Dustin's mom and step dad joined us at disneyland. Dustin and I have decided to hold of on disneyland until andrew is atleast 48 inches next time.

Summer is slowly coming to an end!

This summer has been very eventful for us as a family. Dustin has done a lot of working and is officially an Assistant Manager for Fresh and Easy! We look fwd to seeing how things take off for him to become a manager as stores open. Andrew and myself have spent a lot of time in the summer getting tanner from the water park and swimming pool. His favorite place is the water park and he has gone a lot with his Mommy, Daddy, cousin Nathan, Auntie Jessica, Uncle Michael, and most recently he was able to share it with his Papa Bob and Nana Terri. He loves the wave pool and most of the slides!

Other than the water park this summer Andrew finally got to show his Grandma Donna, Auntie Jessica, and cousin Nathan all the animals he loves.  We even saw babies there, the monkies had babies, and more are expecting.  His cousin Nathan and Andrew enjoyed doing the "dino dig" which means they played in dirt for a little while.

There are a few more things to write about but I need to upload the photos that we took for other summer fun!!!! now that summer is ending we are getting ready to go to disneyland so we are collecting the last few "bottles, cans and glasses we can find" Sept 5 we will leave for timei n the park on the 6,7, and 8th.!

Uncle Scott came for a couple days

A week ago we picked up Scott and had him come over while his parents got some time alone at the coast. Andrew adores his Uncle Scott, and had no idea that personal space is something he should respect. He would climb on Scott as if he was a jungle gym and then try to cuddle up in his lap. (not necessarily the most comfortable thing for most teenage boys). Thursday we all went to Wild water adventure. Andrew and I stayed in the little kid area playing on all slides made for andrew. Dustin and Scott got to go venture off and do the big slides. (good brother bonding)  We had to leave a little early because Dustin ripped his shorts right down the seam in the back and his butt would have been exposed.  Heard it was priceless to watch him holding it shut as he walked from the farthest slide to where his towel was.  Later in the evening we all headed to John's Incredible pizza where it was a pizza buffet and arcade games. All the boys enjoyed the place a lot.

Friday we chilled out and waited until the evening to attend a Fresno Grizzlies baseball game.  Since it was a Friday they were doing fireworks after the game, which was well worth the wait!   On Saturday I waited in line with Terri while Bob worked so we would get the Buster Posey bobblehead, while Dustin and Andrew took Scott back home.  I heard Andrew took it hard that he had to return his Uncle back to his house.  Well that is just a little of how our summer is going, and no where near over, as we are always finding ways to beat the heat!

4th of july weekend

Our 4th of July holiday was packed full of fun.  We went to lemoore on the 2nd and went swimming at Jessica's apt, then over slept for church so we listed to it online :).  Then on Sunday afternoon Andrew got to play with both boy cousins: Nathan and Aidan!  Grandma Donna got a blow up slide for them to play on and they had a blast, even us grownups had some fun playing with the water hose and then busting out a slip and slide!  Later in the evening we did some fireworks before heading back to good ol' Clovis.

Andrew has seen fireworks in the past but this was the first year he got to experience a sparkler.  He loves matches at home but is still unsure about holding a sparkler!  His Grandma and Grandpa got to help him with it, as well as Dustin and myself.

On July 4th, Dustin worked in the a.m then we went to a Grizzle game with Bob.  We had a good time watching them play and Andrew just loves Parker (the mascott).  Terri showed up in the 8th I believe being she had to work, then parking was a nightmare.  After the game the Grizzles had an amazing firework show and Andrew just loves fireworks from a distance!
